Special Lecture on Advancement of Cyber Laws and Technology

With the Blessings of admired Chairman , and with the guidance of esteemed Director Dr. R.Durai and in the Presence of Respected Registrar ChinnaKalai, Respected Dr. Mathivanan, Member of Governing Body, Respected Principal Dr.P.S.Srinivasan, Vice Principal, and Assistant Professors Dr. M. Meikeerthi, Mr. K.V. Thulasi Krishnan, Ms. S. Sindhuja, Mr. P. Anand, the G.T.N. Law college organized a special lecture on Advancement of Cyber Laws and Technology on 18.07.2023. The special lecture was delivered by Thiru. Lyold, Police Officer, Crime Branch , Dindigul District. In his address, he explained about the advancement of Cyber Laws and increase in the Cyber Crimes in TamilNadu state. He have throwed light on the students by giving appropriate explanation about the Gift Scam, Facebook Crimes, Financial Loss, Cyber Criminals, Jurisdictional Issues, Cyber Victims and Snapchat Misuse etc. He further explained about the functioning of Police Organs which were working an Cyber related Crimes in TamilNadu. His detailed address has enlightened the students of G.T.N Law College and many have acquired awareness on Cyber Crimes. He advised the students community not to download any unnecessary Apps which will affect the respect and privacy of the individuals. In his speech, the Chief guest has showered as with lot of Cyber cases. The Chief guest emphasized on the significance of Cyber Law and responsibilities of the future Lawyers in the society. He answered the questions put forward by our students with continuous patience. Overall his special Lecture was very useful and valuable to the students community. Finally, Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. M. Meikeerthi, Assistant Professor, G.T.N. Law College. A good number of students, Professors and people who were all interested in the subject participated.
